Finding Products - Category Drill Down

     Click on the “Products” button in the left hand contents bar to find the Main Product Categories Page. You will be presented with a listing of all our product categories. Click on the category that would include your product. A listing of subcategories will then appear. Click on the subcategory that would include your product.  A listing of products, with their descriptions and prices will appear.  Select the product you wish to purchase by clicking on the blue “Buy” button.

Finding Products - Specific Store

     Some product offerings (such as Lutron dimmers) may be found in their own “store” in addition to category drill downs or keyword searches. Each of these stores may be entered by click on the appropriate icon in the contents bar on the left of your screen. Depending on the product, these stores will present you with different options for pulling up a list of items from which to make your selection.

Finding Products - Keyword Search

     Click on the “Search” tab at the top of the screen to find the Search page. A non- working picture of the Search Tool appears to the right. You generally will want to search by a keyword and not the Electrical Deals SKU. (To search by our SKU, you will need to click on the radio button to the left of “ElecDeals SKU”).  Keywords are entered into the “Enter Search Terms” box and can be product names like switch, receptacle, drill or housing. Brand names are also keywords. So are electrical phrases such as 30A, 120V and Single Pole. The more keywords you use in your search the more narrow your results will be. For instance:  “Switch” will pull up all kinds of switches of all colors but “switch brown” or “brown switch” will pull up only switches that are brown and “safety switch” will pull up only safety switches. The more keywords specified, the fewer the results. Do not use the words AND or OR.  Do not use punctuation (other than spaces) to separate keywords.

Buying Products

     When you find an item to purchase, click the blue “Buy” button to the right of the item. The item is added to a "shopping cart" using a quantity of one.  The cart appears on your screen. You may then modify to quantity if necessary.  Then, you may choose to “continue shopping” or to “check-out” your purchase.

Wish List - Save For Later Purchase

     You may create a wish list by first adding an item to your shopping cart and then going into the shopping cart and clicking on the “save for later” icon. The item will be moved to a “saved for later” list that will be displayed below the check-out buttons.  You may move saved items back into your shopping cart by clicking on the “move” icon .  You can have as many items in the wish list as you care to.  You must be signed onto your account if you want our system to save your list for your next visit.

Your “Account”

     You need an e-mail address to set-up an “account”.  The first time you make a purchase from us, you will need to set-up an account.  This account is merely a record of your billing and shipping information.  Purchases are paid for by charge card or electronic check. This account can be closed by you at any time.

Returns

     Before returning any merchandise, please request a Return Goods Authorization. Click on the Returns button or click here to request an RGA. Products returned without an RGA will be refused.  See our Return Goods Policy.
